(hgm) Die alternden Backstreet „Boys“ scheinen ihre Zielgruppe radikal neu definiert zu haben: Statt Stadien mit kreischenden Teenies zu füllen, wollen sie nun das üblicherweise eher gediegene Publikum einer Kreuzfahrt für sich gewinnen. Am 9. Dezember startet eine viertägige Schiffreise in Florida, bei der Howie Dorough, Alexander James McLean, Nick Carter und Brian Littrell auftreten werden. Daneben sollen diverse Motto-Partys für Stimmung beim „Backstreet Boys Cruise 2010“ sorgen.
Auf der Band-Website wurde für die Jungs angekündigt: „Das wird ein einmaliges Erlebnis werden, das sie mit Euch, den Fans, teilen werden. Einige der spaßigen Dinge, die es geben wird, sind: eine Performance von den Backstreet Boys im kleinen Kreis, eine Fragerunde, Foto-Session, Party an Deck und Beach-Party. Alle Events werden von den Boys ausgerichtet.” Wieviel Vertrauen die Fans in das organisatorische Talent der Bandmitglieder haben, wird sich ab dem 15. März beim Ticketverkauf zeigen.

On their website they announce: 'This is going to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience that the boys will embark on and share with you, the fans. Some of the fun things on tap are: an intimate performance by the Backstreet Boys, Q&A, Photo Session, Deck Party and Beach Party. All events are hosted by the Boys and lots of other fun stuff.'
How much the fans trust in the boys' organizational talent remains to be seen on March 15.
