Interview with AJ McLean: "We are who we are! Take it or leave it"

"It's what we are: take it or leave it"
Interview. A. J. McLean of Backstreet Boys. Account how they live the thrill of spinning before playing Tuesday at Luna.

The Backstreet Boys are coming to Argentina and will play Tuesday at the Luna Park stadium. No longer in the stadium of Boca Juniors, and no ... After all, seems to have diminished the madness that once these prettyboy knew unleash in the burgeoning Argentine public. Anyway, the organizers fear the fever of the fans and do not dare to give details about his arrival at Ezeiza: "We can not say when they will arrive. There are like four fan clubs and they would go crazy. "

Then, suppose that at this time Howie D, Brian Littrell, A. J. McLean and Nick Carter are traveling from the stage that held yesterday in St. Paul to the Luna Park Buenos Aires. The reason for his visit is for South American tour to present his new album, This Is Us (2010), which makes up a sort of trilogy with Never Gone (2005) and Unbreakable (2007) of the second stage of the band and away from the fury of the beginning, when competing with N'Sync, surrounded by Aguilera and Britney.
After Tuesday, expect a long journey through South America up to Mexico. From there, they will fly directly to Vietnam, where they have two concerts. Exclusive, Clarín spoke by telephone with the goatee brunette, A. J. McLean.

With all this traveling, do not you feel a little lost at times? And the truth is that, from time to time, either you do not know where you are. Volás all day and all night in a new country and landed at dawn. Then you get into the hotel room, you zambullís in bed the next day, you wake up and you do not know where you are. So, sometimes it can be quite stressful. But while you are quiet and pay attention, you're fine.
A few months ago, when the Black Eyed Peas came, you could see that on stage had a small screen that reminded them of where they were. They had a blue background and just say, "Buenos Aires, Argentina."
(Laughter) Of course, so do not forget what country they are. We would have to start using that system. Might be a good idea.

In order not to lose, then Remember me: where are you now? I'm in Los Angeles.

Going to Vietnam. Have you ever were there? No, this will be our first time there. We're all pretty excited about those dates. We'll have some days off there. Then, it would great to have the chance to learn a little. So, get to know what it's like in Vietnam, at least.

Do you remember your last time in Argentina? Absolutely. Had a great time. I went, I ate very rich and enjoyed the nightlife. And besides, I played golf and everything.

That was in 2001 when he left Black & Blue. There is a big gap between that album and Never Gone (2005). What happened during all that time? The titles of the last three albums are saying something, right? "With Never Gone (never went), we were trying to say something. I think there was a strong message. Same with Unbreakable (Unbreakable) were saying something. But This Is Us (That's us), we mean exactly what the title says: 'This is what we are, this is what we do and we're getting down to business. " Because when we recorded Never Gone, rocker wanted it to sound more raw. So we took all that sound that people are accustomed to hearing from our style. "

And then, how should it be called the next album? We'll see. It could be something like This Is Us 2 or Backstreet Boys Again. Who knows? It should be something like: "We are comfortable" ... O "This is who we are, take it or leave it."
